At Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home, we are dedicated to helping families select the service options that best honor their loved one’s life while respecting their budget. Our burial services provide a range of meaningful ways to celebrate and remember, offering comfort and connection during a time of loss.

Whether you choose a visitation, traditional funeral, or graveside ceremony, we work closely with you to create a personalized farewell that reflects your loved one’s unique story. We understand that every family’s needs are different, which is why we offer flexible, affordable options and compassionate guidance throughout the process so you can focus on honoring your loved one with peace of mind.

Funeral Packages

The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation.

You are in no way limited to these service options. You may itemize services in order to select only those which are right for you.

With the purchase of a casket from Funeral Home. A casket is not included as a complimentary item.

• This package includes all services of funeral director & staff and embalming. Use of facilities, automotive equipment. This may also include transferring to church or other facility within DeKalb/Allen County for calling & services. In addition to this price, there will be a charge for the casket & outer burial container selected (see our price lists). This package price does not include cash advance items such as cemetery services, flowers, newspaper notices, etc.
  

Casket from another source 

• This package offering is available without the purchase of a casket from our funeral home. Includes all services of funeral director & staff and embalming. Use of facilities, automotive equipment. In addition to this price, there will be a charge for the outer burial container selected (see our price lists). This package offering does not include cash advance items such as cemetery services, flowers, newspaper notices, etc.
  

Burial

When a loved one is buried, it creates a permanent resting place where family and friends can visit for years and generations to come. Burial is an option with or without a graveside service. Once the decision to bury has been made, the location of the final resting place will need to be selected. A member of our staff will help guide you through this process, including choosing a casket and headstone or marker. 

Traditional Funeral Service

Funeral services can be held in our chapel, a church, or any location that holds meaning for your family. We work closely with you to design a service that truly reflects your loved one’s life, incorporating stories, music, scripture, or other personal touches. For families who choose not to involve clergy, our funeral directors are available to lead the service. They are specially trained to create meaningful, healing experiences that honor your loved one’s memory and support your journey through grief.

Viewing

A viewing provides an opportunity to say goodbye and pay their respects on a more intimate level. Spending time with the deceased before their service, whether privately or with family and friends, can be profoundly healing and can help those grieving accept their loss and begin to heal. 

Graveside Service

A graveside or committal service is usually held immediately after the funeral and offers a meaningful moment of closure. Whether you prefer an intimate gathering or a larger group of family and friends, this service can be tailored to reflect what feels most personal and fitting for your loved one.
