William R. McClure, 80, died on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Lutheran Life Villages in Ft. Wayne, IN.  He was born on April 15, 1944 in Ft. Wayne to the late Calvin R. & Viginia M. (Roebuck) McClure.  He married Shirley A. (Treace) Sliger on June 20, 1981 in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley McClure of Ft. Wayne; step-children, Robert D. Sliger of Ft. Wayne, Kimberly Sliger of Ft. Wayne, Michael Sliger of Ft. Wayne; step grandchildren, Robert J. Sliger, Tabitha Sliger, Cody Sliger, Julie Sliger, Jessica Sliger, Michael Sliger, Samuel Sliger; step great grandson, Jack Felix Sliger and a brother, Bobby Mettert.

Bill graduated from Central High School.  He worked as a truck driver for Office Furniture USA.  He loved to bowl and spend time with family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Gethsemane Lutheran Church - 1505 Bethany Lane Ft. Wayne, IN  46825.
