William "Bill" Henry Hochstetler, 64, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.  He was born on October 26, 1956 in Hicksville, OH to the late Ervin W. & Lizzie L. (Mullett) Hochstetler.  He married Leora Lillie Schwartz on May 16, 1976 in Hicksville, OH.

Surviving are his wife, Leora Hochstetler of Hicksville; children, Loy (Joanna) Hochstetler of Plain City, OH, Lorinda (Sheldon) Schrock of Lagrange, Lorissa (Brent) Brubaker of W. Alexandria, OH, Lyle (Linda) Hochstetler of Butler, Lars (Amber) Hochstetler of Fair Play, SC, Laina Hochstetler of Goshen, Lanae (Trevyn) Conley of Bristol; 15 grandchildren and siblings, Lonnie (Shirley) Hochstetler of Shipshewana, Mary (Laverne) Lengacher of Jametown, PA, Willard (Janetta) Hochstetler of Hicksville, OH, Sara (Harry) Bender of Hicksville, OH and Ada (Vernon) Beachy of Spencerville.  He was preceded in death by a brother & sister-in-law, Ed & Doris Hochstetler.

Bill was a member of Living Faith Church.  In his lifetime, he served as a minister for 24 years.  He made a career working in the construction business most of his life and in recent years became a counter salesman at Alpha Building in Shipshewana.  Being a great story teller, having a contagious laugh, good humor and logic, an avid grill chef, enjoyed music, and being a favored grandpa are some of the things he was known for.

Calling will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Ekklesia Church in Harlan, IN (12616 Spencerville Road).  Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1 pm at the church with calling from 10-11 am. Burial in Schlatter Cemetery.
