Velores J. Means, 92, died Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Laurels of DeKalb in Butler, IN. She was born on June 13, 1927 in Hicksville, OH to the late Oleus "Guy" & Erma Leota (Kisabeth) Shull. She married William Glenn Means on August 21, 1964 and he preceded her in death on August 24, 1986.
Surviving are her daughter, Loretta (Jeffery) Edgar, Sr. of Butler; grandson, Jeffery A. Edgar, Jr.; great grandson, Ryder & Luke Edgar; niece, Leota Bauman of Valparaiso; nephew, Charles Curie of Gaithersburg, MD and a brother-in-law, Harold Curie of Auburn. She was preceded in death by a sister, Emily M. Curie.
She was a homemaker and loved to crochet, reupholster chairs & couches and make pillows.
Family will accept friends on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 3-5 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home, Spencerville, IN. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later date at Alton Cemetery.
