Todd Michael Eager's Obituary
Todd Michael Eager, 37, stepped into his Master's embrace on Thursday at I.U. Medical Center ICU in Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to Gary & Diane (Lengacher) Eager and they survive in Harlan. Also surviving are brothers, Jeff (Sandy) Eager of Woodburn and Tyler Eager of Harlan; grandmother, Viola Lengacher of Spencerville; nieces & nephew - Samantha Houser, Zoe Eager, Eve Eager and Maxwell Eager; aunts & uncles - Margaret (Russ) Johnston of Ft. Wayne, Barbara (Lee) Randolph of Woodburn, Cara (Wes) Glanzer of Harlan, Tony C. Lengacher of Spencerville, Joyce (Ron) Lehman of Whitehall, MI; a special aunt & uncle, Rick & Cindy Baldwin of Zionsville, IN; and many cousins and great aunts.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Vernon & Mildred Eager & Victor C. Lengacher, Uncle Stan, Aunt Janeen, and Great Aunt Arlene Miller.
Todd was a precious thoughtful son, a loyal brother, a loving uncle, a devoted coach and a cherished friend. He graduated from Woodlan High School & Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He was an all Star Cheer & Gymnastic Coach at Hoosier Elite Athletics & Tumbling (HEAT) in Ft. Wayne, IN and was a member of Central Church Ministries. He was involved with the cheer program and served as Captain of the cheer squad his senior year. His many friends & rich experiences with the cheerleading program defined some of the best years of his life.
Todd loved family, coaching, swimming, the sunshine, flowers, summers at Uncle Ronnie's on Lake Michigan, sailing, Germany and vacations on Siesta Key. He was a certified Universal Cheerleading Association Instructor & loved IU, IU sports & his family.
Calling will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm at Central Church (5801 Schwartz Road Ft. Wayne, IN 46835). A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 6 pm at the church with Pastor Don Delagrange & Pastor Jeremy Helmuth officiating. Private family burial in Yaggy Cemetery.
