Terry Shears, 70, died Tuesday at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.  He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Glen E. Shears & Mary C. (McHenry) Shears Tucker.  He married Sue Ellen Metzinger on December 26, 1970 in Dunnington, IN.

Surviving are his wife, Sue Ellen Shears of Ft. Wayne; brother, Tom (Tara) Shears of Ft. Wayne; step-sister, Toni Dickerhoff of Spencerville; nieces & nephews, Angie (Chris) Murphy of Odessa, FL, Ryan (Faith) Shears of Raleigh, NC, Tommie Shears of Ft. Wayne, Alexis Shears of Ft. Wayne & Caroline Wheeler of Richmond, VA.  He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Russell Tucker.

Terry graduated from Leo High School in 1966 and from Purdue University in 1970 with a Bacherlor's Degree.  He worked as an Electrician for Korte Electric and in Industrial Design & Engineering for Eagle Picher of Grabill & International Harvester (Navistar) in Ft. Wayne.  He retired from Chemical Engineering in Churubusco.

Calling will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Wallen Baptist Church (1001 W. Wallen Road Ft. Wayne, IN).  Services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10 am with calling one hour prior at the church with Pastor John Suciu officiating.  Burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery.
