Teresa A. Scott, 78, died Saturday, August 16, 2025 at her home in rural Spencerville, IN.  She was born on October 6, 1946 in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Paul E. & Dolly V. (Fuelling) Smith.  She married James A. Scott, Sr. on March 23, 1968 in Woodburn, IN and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2012.

Surviving are her son, James A. Scott II of Spencerville; siblings, Rick (Connie) Smith of Harlan, Randy Smith of Defiance, OH, Sandra Windmiller of Ft. Wayne, Susan Brown of Defiance, OH and Becky (Tim) Morrow of Ft. Wayne.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn R. Scott and a brother-in-law, Greg Richey.

Teresa was a homemaker who loved reading and doing magic jigsaw puzzles on her phone.  She was a member of the Woodburn Missionary Church.

Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11 am at Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, IN with Greg Zern officiating.

Memorials may be given towards funeral expenses.
