Sylvia V. Cearbaugh, 94, died Thursday at Coventry Meadows in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Elmer & Minnie (Bolenbaugh) Pineo.  She married Dick D. Cearbaugh on November 25, 1941 in Columbia City, IN.  He preceded her in death on November 8, 1998.

Surviving are her children, Michael Cearbaugh of Orland, Jerry (Rhonda) Cearbaugh of Roanoke, Dewitt (Cindy) Cearbaugh of Ft. Wayne, Duane Cearbaugh of Angola, Donna (Bruce) Hoffman of Ft. Wayne and Sharon (Stan) Stalcup of St. Joe; 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild; brother, Terry Stone of Delaware.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Hershel, Dennis & Eugene Goings, Edward Pineo and a sister, Barbara Renfrow.  She worked for 35 years in several department stores as a manager.  She spent her summer months in Orland, IN and her winter months in Okeechobee, FL where she worked for the Red Cross and she loved quilting & crocheting.

Calling will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home, Spencerville, IN.  Services on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11 am at the funeral home.  Burial in Riverside Cemetery, St. Joe, IN.  Memorials to the League for the Blind - 5821 S.
