Shirley A. Markle, 86, died Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Ashton Creek in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born on November 14, 1939 in Decatur, IN to the late Norman Lee Noack and Esther E. (Wolfe) Noack Zehr.  She married Henry E. "Sonny" Markle on April 19, 1959 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Spencerville, IN.  He preceded her in death on December 19, 2004.

Surviving are her children, Matthew Markle of Ft. Wayne, Mark (Misty) Markle of Ft. Wayne, Melanie (Dan) Barkley of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren, Jessica (Parker) Conrad, Austin Barkley, Madysen Barkley, Makena Rae Markle; great grandson, Knox Conrad and a sister, Bonnie L. Moore of Ft. Wayne.

She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Paul E. Moore.

Shirley worked at Keltch Pharmacy in Georgetown Plaza, Ft. Wayne and the floral shop at Scott's Grocery.  She enjoyed gardening, watching & feeding the blue birds and just being outdoors.  She loved spending time with the grandkids.

Calling will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 1-4 & 5-7 pm at Northpoint Community Church (10513 Leo Road Ft. Wayne, IN).

***Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 10 am at Northpoint Community Church.  Burial in White City Cemetery, Spencerville, IN.
