Shirley Louise (sites) Goldner, 90, of Auburn, was called to be with the Lord on July 16, 2026, surrounded at home by her family. She was born in Van Wert, Ohio to parents Leon Forest Sites and Esther Luella (Matzen) Sites, who preceded her in death. In 1954, she married the love of her life, James Edward Goldner, who also preceded her in death. Shirley and James raised four children together.
Shirley thought of her life as a new adventure everyday. She loved traveling with her grandchildren, taking trips across the country from Maine to Las Vegas, with even a stop in Europe in her later years. Shirley loved telling stories and making people laugh. She adored her little dogs through the years and enjoyed sewing quilts. She fancied the color pink and cherished her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Goldner; son, Robert Goldner and his wife, Jeanne; son, Raymond "Ernie" Goldner and his partner, Danyell May; a daughter-in-law, Ora Goldner. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Goldner. She is also survived by grandchildren, Stuart Knight, Diane Allen and her husband, Scott, Aimee Goldner and her partner, Thomas Repine, Aaron Goldner and his wife, Abbey, Simon Goldner and his wife, Dr. Kaylie, Cody Goldner, and Caleb May and his partner, Taya Ousley. She also had 7 great grandchildren, Dylan Knight and his wife, Kristin, Jean Allen, Isaac Allen, Parker Goldner, Turner Pruitt, Sawyer Goldner, and Isaiah May. Finally, she enjoyed watching her great great grandchildren growing up, Avalyn, Kristopher, Kinslee, Raylynn and Kaiden.
Calling will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 10 am - 12 noon at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home, Spencerville, IN. Services will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home with Bud Owen officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, St. Joe, IN
