Sally Joan Amstutz, 92, died peacefully at her home in rural Leo, IN on Thursday, December 25, 2025.  She was born on October 8, 1933 in Allen County, IN to Wilbur W. & Helen V. (Balyeat) Roth.  She married Max Amstutz on April 9, 1955 in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Surviving are her husband, Max Amstutz of Leo; sons, Jeff (Heather) Amstutz of Huntertown, Rex Amstutz of Lineville, IA, Dan Amstutz of Milo, IA and Tim Amstutz of Ft. Wayne; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Bruce & Michael Roth; sisters, Jacquelyn McCurdy, Mary Birely and Rebecca Deermer.

Sally & Max met in 5th grade at Leo Elementary School and they graduated together in 1951 from the Old Leo High School.  She was a servant of Jesus Christ.  She stayed at home with 4 boys and then returned to work in the Revenue Processing Department of North American Van Lines for 18 years retiring in 1988.  She attended Grabill Missionary Church and loved to play bingo, Bridge and go to garage sales.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 10 am at Grabill Missionary Church (13637 State Street Grabill, IN) with Pastor Kevin Brown officiating.
