Ruth J. Geiger,81, graduated to her new home on October 2, 2014 in Foley, Alabama. She was born in Wells County, IN to the late Clyde D. & Grace Marie (Snyder) Platt. She married Paul B. Geiger on February 4, 1951 in Charter Oak Methodist Church in Churubusco, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1999.

Surviving are daughters, Linda Geiger of Foley, Alabama, Julie (Dave) Hambrock of Ft. Wayne and Paulette "Babe" Hambrock of Huntertown; Grandchildren - Aimee (Jon), Paul, Christine, Jesse (Stacey), Christopher (Jenifer), Naomi, Jeremy (Stephine), Steve & Bobby; 19 Great Grandchildren & 1 Great Great Grandchild; Brothers, Donald (Joann) Platt of Columbia City, IN, Rex (Sharon) Platt of Angola, IN, Roger (Judy) Platt of Ft. Wayne, IN; and a sister, Joyce Fulk of Churubusco, IN.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Pastor Mark Hambrock; a grandson, Matthew Ellison and her sister, Susan Wendling.

Ruth worked as a food service manager for 10 years with Szabo Foods at Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne. She was a master stain glass designer, seamstress & quilter, crocheted rugs, awesome baker & cook. She attended Mongo United Methodist Church & the Spencerville United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 am with family accepting friends one hour prior to the service at Mongo United Methodist Church (SR 3 & CR 325 N).
