Ruth L. Delagrange, 75, died Monday, July 13, 2026 at her home in rural St. Joe, IN.  She was born on December 28, 1950 in Jackson, MI to the late George A. & Louise M. (Goward) Roy.  She married Merle Delagrange on March 8, 1969 in West Unity, Ohio.  

Surviving are her husband, Merle Delagrange of St. Joe; children, Joseph Delagrange of Ft. Wayne, Shane (Angela) Delagrange of Wolf Lake, Jason (Matt) Delagrange of Ft. Wayne, Joshua Delagrange of St. Joe; 6 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Carol Jermeay of West Unity, OH, Sharon Sands of West Unity, OH, Katherine (Michael) Nisley of Mishawaka, and Stephen (Susan) Roy of Austin, TX.  

She was preceded in death by brothers & sisters-in-law, Lewis & Judith Roy and George & Susan Roy; sister & brother-in-law, Sylvia & Joe Bost; sisters, Nancy Roy & Greta Roy; brothers-in-law, Max Jermeay & Wayne Sands; step-mother, Mary Roy.

Ruth was a homemaker and was a caretaker for the elderly.  She was a member of the St. Joe Church of Christ.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at St. Joe Church of Christ (508 Jefferson St. St. Joe) with a gathering of friends & family from 10 am - 12 noon at the church.  Pastor Donny Goff will officiate.

Memorials may be given to Parkview Hospice.
