Ruth Brickel, 81, died Tuesday at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born in Defiance, OH to the late Charles & Beulah (Breininger) Weber. She married Robert A. Brickel on February 18, 1951 in Defiance, OH and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Dianne (Cliff) Witmer of Leo, IN; two sons, Robert (Dorothy) Brickel, Jr. of Hicksville, OH and Bill (Pat) Brickel of Harriman, TN; 2 grandchildren - Jade (Clint) Delagrange of Spencerville, IN and Tyler (Randa) Witmer of Leo, IN; 2 great grandchildren - Boone Delagrange & Adessa Witmer; a brother, Ed (Dorothy) Bostelman of Haviland, OH; 2 sisters, Donna (Earl) Baldwin of Cecil, OH and Linda Barham of Defiance, OH; a step-brother, Paul Bostelman of Defiance, OH. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Eilene Crisp and Mary Woodring.

Ruth was a homemaker that loved to cross stitch and have flower gardens. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Calling will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 12 noon - 3 pm at North Leo Mennonite Church (15419 SR 1 Leo, IN). Services will be held at 3 pm at the church. Burial in Schlatter Cemetery.
