Obituary

Ronald Dean Seiler, 82, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 26, 2025 after a sudden & brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Allen County, IN on November 30, 1942 to the late Ralph E. & Delilah A. (Liechty) Seiler.  His first marriage was on March 20, 1965 to Sandra K. (Minnick) Seiler and she preceded him in death on June 26, 1997.  He married Michelle L. Freese on June 12, 1999 at North Leo Mennonite Church.

Surviving are his wife, Michelle Seiler of Spencerville; children, Stacey (Chris) Brown of Ft. Wayne, Terry Seiler of Ft. Wayne and Jared Seiler of Spencerville; brothers, Larry (Donna) Seiler of Auburn and Roland (Teresa) Seiler of Auburn.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph A. Seiler and Ed (Carol) Seiler.

Ron graduated from Leo High School in 1961 and Tri-State (now Trine) University in 1965.  He started his engineering career at Ford Motor Company in Detroit, MI and never bought any other make of vehicle.  He worked & retired from Pedco Engineering as an electrical engineer and then became a self-employed electrician.  Ron worked on several architectural engineering projects and with several prestigious firms in Ft. Wayne & Tucson.  Some of the projects he worked on were the Allen County Public Library, the Christmas Wreath in Ft. Wayne, renovation of the Coliseum and also a significant amount of the electrical design at Little Eden Campground in Onekama, MI where he attended since he was a kid with his parents and made & met many friends.  He also recently completed electrical work for UNIQ BBQ & SHABU in Ft. Wayne.  He was a member of North Leo Mennonite Church & Crossview Church.  He loved to golf, do woodworking, camp, fish, water & snow ski.

Calling will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Crossview Church (12532 Grabill Road Grabill, IN).  Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11 am with calling one hour prior at the church.  Pastor Kyle George will be officiating.  Burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery, Leo, IN.
