Robert Wayne Johnson, 69, died Wednesday (April 10, 2024) at his home in Butler, Indiana.  He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on December 9, 1954 to Dale E. and Ada M. (Reed) Johnson.  He married Shirley Marie Taylor on March 23, 1985 in Butler, Indiana.  She preceded him in death on November 14, 2013.

Surviving are 2 sons:  Jade (Carrie) Johnson and Kade (Rachel) Johnson; 2 grandsons:  Loden Johnson and Justis Johnson; 3 brothers:  Fred (Shirley) Johnson, Mike (Judy) Johnson and Danny (Genna) Johnson; 2 sisters:  Rita Bice and Sherry Reese; and 1 sister-in-law:  Laura Johnson.

He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers:  Bud Johnson and Randy Johnson; and 1 brother-in-law:  Bud Bice.

Robert worked as a mechanic at Slattery Oil Company in Hicksville, Ohio.  He loved to tool around in his garage and ride 4 wheelers.

The family will gather for a private memorial service.  Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in St. Joe, Indiana.
