Robert Lee Herdman, 89, died Thursday at Heritage Park in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born in Ft. Wayne to the late Clarence A. & Blanche V. (Gebert) Herdman.

Surviving are his sister, Gloria L. (Richard) O'Connor of Ft. Wayne; niece and caretaker, Jane (Richard) Lengacher of Spencerville and many other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Virgil & Floyd Herdman; sisters, Doris Rediger & Mary Ann Rarick.

He lived all of his adult life in Chicago and worked in social services for the State of Illinois. He was in the Army during the end of WWII and the beginning of the Korean War.

There will be a private family graveside service in Perry Township Cemetery, Huntertown, IN.
