Ricky L. "Rick" Williams, 72, of New Haven, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, with family by his side after battling cancer for several years.  He was born on June 30, 1953 in St. Marys, Ohio to the late Donald L. & Evelyn F. (Baker) Williams.  He married Sandy Putman on October 11, 1981 in Mendon, OH.

Rick, a graduate of Mendon Union High School and Nashville Auto-Diesel College, was a diesel mechanic by trade and later an owner/operator of his own trucking company.  After retiring from his trucking company, he drove school bus for East Allen County Schools.  In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, working with his hands, fishing, and woodworking.

He was a loving grandfather, father, husband, and brother who will be greatly missed.  He is survived by his sons, Taylor Williams and Logan (Amanda) Williams; granddaughter, Ashtyn Williams; wife, Sandy Williams; and brothers, Terry (Sharon) Williams, Ted (Sue) Williams, and Tim Williams.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Malinda Williams; brother, Rob Williams and a sister-in-law, Deb Williams.

There will be a private service at a later date.
