Richard McNiece, 92, died Monday at his home in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born in Valparaiso, IN to the late Floyd & Minerva "Mame" (Pierce) McNiece. He married Patricia Jean Hocker on July 7, 1945 in Sedalia, Missouri and they were married for 68 years.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia McNiece of Ft. Wayne; a son, Richard (Judi) McNiece, Jr. of Ft. Wayne; a daughter, Vicki (Jay) Zygmont of Killingworth, CT; 5 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Floyd McNiece & Roger Melton.
Richard worked as a tool & die maker for General Electric for 43 years and was a member of the Grabill Missionary Church & the Senior Saints in Grabill, IN. He was a pilot in the Air Force during WWII.
Caling will be held on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 from 3-5 & 6-8 pm at Grabill Missionary Church (13637 State Street Grabill, IN). Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at 3:30 pm with calling one hour prior at the church. Pastor Bill Lepley will officiate. Burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery.
