Richard L. Betz, 82, died Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.  He was born on March 9, 1943 to the late Howard Russell Betz & Rose D. (Worden) Betz Hart.  He married Patty J. Strebig on May 21, 1965.

Surviving are his wife, Patty J. Betz of Grabill and a sister, Marilyn (Ralph) Graft of Harlan.  He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, S. Lee Strebig.

Dick worked as a machinist for Zollner Piston in Ft. Wayne for 40 years and was a US Army Veteran.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, wood crafting and gardening.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services.
