Raymond L. Hensinger, 83, died Thursday, January 8, 2026 surrounded by his family at his daughter's home in St. Joe, IN.  He was born on February 17, 1942 in Garrett, IN to the late Robert & Cathern (Stilwell) Hensinger.  He married Karen F. Leichty on November 1, 1970 at Cuba Mennonite Church in Harlan, IN.  She preceded him in death on March 7, 2019.

Surviving are his daughters, Nicki (Matt) McClain of St. Joe, Sam (Joe) Burleson of St. Joe; grandchildren, Trent (Shay) Reinig of St. Joe, Haley Reinig (Kagan Likes) of St. Joe, Shelby McClain of St. Joe; great grandchildren, Novah Reinig & Killian Reinig, Carter Kimmell, Aiden Gibson, Jensen Gibson & J.R. Gibson; their bonus children, Rachel, Lisa, Terry & Julie, Beth, Penny, Margie and Jennifer.

The family would especially like to thank his nurse, Beth, for her constant care and attention.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert (Roberta) Hensinger & Owen Hensinger; sisters, Laura (Gilbert) Lawhead & Mabel (Chester) Campbell; nephews, Brian Lawhead, Sr. & Larry Hensinger.

Ray was a factory worker at Dura in Butler, IN.  He owned & operated along with his wife, Karen, Ray's Coffee Shop in St. Joe, IN.  He was a US Army Veteran.

Calling will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 3-7 pm at Cuba Mennonite Church (10835 Cuba Road Harlan, IN).  Services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 11 am with calling one hour prior at the church.  Dean Stoll & Robert Miller officiating.  Burial in Yaggy Cemetery, Grabill, IN.
