Obituary

Randall Bebout, 89, died Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at his home in Auburn, IN surrounded by his family.  He was born on January 25, 1937 in Burna, KY to the late Herbert G. & Linnie G. (Ramage) Bebout.  His first marriage was to Sue Travis and from that marriage three daughters were born, Connie (Barry) Prentice of Logansport, Sandy Smith of Indianapolis and Denise (Curt) Ramsey of Logansport.  His second marriage was to Kathryn Humphries on June 5, 1971 and she brought two daughters, Susan Barna of Indianapolis and Bobbi (Tom) Russell of Aurora, CO and then a son was born, Scott (Carla) Bebout.  She preceded him in death on May 25, 1999.  He later married Glenda (Harness) Baumgartner on August 18, 2002 and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2021.  From that marriage, he gained step-children, Vic (Jan) Baumgartner of Frankenmuth, MI and David (Dr. Brian) Baumgartner of Chicago, IL.  He was blessed to become a grandfather to Jamie (Klint) Grauel, Jenny Bechke, Justin & Andrew Smith, Keaton & Mallory Ramsey, Heather (Carl) Mersch, Megan (David) Taylor,  Nick (Holly) Barna, Sarah (Dave) Rose, Kayte (Ryan) Begerman, Micah (Kelly) Baumgartner, Nicholas (Felicia) Friese, Jacob (Elie) Barna, Scott (Amanda) Russell, Luke (Stef) Russell, Megan Hanson, Tabitha DeSeramo, Felean (Nick) Marshall; great grandfather to Dakota & Jordon Elliott, Kaleb & Kathlynn Grauel, Bailey, Brenton & Beau Mersch, Brandalyn (Cougar) Heiny, Grant Smith, Kennedy, Gavin & Madison Taylor, Ally Griffith, Xavion Garcia, Evan, Jackson & Addison Barna, Rand & Juliette Begerman, Elizabeth, William, Lily,& Isaac Russell, Annika, Hantz, Korinthia, Daniella Baumgartner, Beau, Lane & Zoey Friese, Landen & Khloe Cobble, Jayna Sparkman, Silas DeSeranno, Johnathon & Charlie Marshall and great great grandfather to Violet & Harrison Ingle, Palmer & Presley Smith, Bryann Heiny. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Smith; son-in-law, Jerry Bechke; brother & sister-in-law, Harold (Starr) Bebout; step-daughter, Sondra Heath; step-grandson, Kyle Freise; step-sons-in-law, Robin Barna & Kevin Heath.  Randy worked as a painter at International Harvester for 30 years, as a meter reader for the City of Auburn for 16 years and 6 years he drove for Ft. Wayne Vehicle Auction.  Glenda & Randy together volunteered and cooked for the Cup of Cold Water at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene which helped to feed the underserved youth of Auburn.  He attended St. Andrews Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Auburn.  He loved working with old furniture, doing any kind of restoration projects, working in his yard and working on automobiles.  Calling will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 3-6 at St. Andrews Evangelical Presbyterian Church (316 W. 4th St. Auburn, IN).  A Celebration of a life well lived will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 1 pm with calling one hour prior at the church.  Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn, IN.  Memorials to St. Andrews Church.
