Rachel R. Graber, 75, died Thursday, November 30, 2023 in rural DeKalb County, Indiana.  She was born on May 4, 1948 in Grabill, IN to the late Joseph R. & Rosa (Schwartz) Graber.  She married Elam Graber on December 31, 1970 in Grabill, Indiana.

Surviving are her husband, Elam Graber of Grabill; children, Christian E. (Rhoda) Graber of Grabill, Benjamin E. (Amy) Graber of St. Joe, Barbara Ann (John) Lengacher of Utica, OH, Leah Rose (Joash) Myers of St. Joe; son-in-law, Lester (Dorothy) Graber of Spencerville; 34 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, John (Lillie) Graber of Spencerville, Christian (Eileen) Graber of Grabill, Thomas (Mary) Graber of Grabill, Joe (Catherine) Graber, Jr. of Grabill, Benjamin (Rosa) Graber of Grabill, Rosanna (Michael) Graber of Grabill, Ruben (Elizabeth) Graber of Spencerville, James (Anna Mae) Graber of Crofton, KY, Tobias (Naomi) Graber of Grabill and Ruth (Sam) Schwartz of Grabill.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Mae Graber; brother, Daniel S. Graber, sisters Elizabeth R. Graber & Susanne Graber and a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara S. (David) Nolt.

Rachel was a creative homemaker who loved fellowshipping with others, baking, singing and designing.  She was a member of the Old Order Amish.  She helped her husband train horses and at one time owned and operated a shoe store out of her home. She had a very gentle spirit and had a gift to serve and love unconditionally.

Calling will be held starting Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 at 6 pm and also Saturday (Dec. 2) and Sunday (Dec. 3) all day long at 16529 Trammel Road Grabill, IN.  Services will be held on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023 at 9 am with Jacob Graber and James Schmucker officiating.  Burial in Harlan Amish Cemetery on Antwerp Road.
