Peter E. Thompson, Sr., 81, died Friday, April 29, 2022 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.  He was born on April 20, 1941 in Toms River, New Jersey to Elmer Russell Thompson.

He married Charlotte Rose Thompson in October 2008 and she survives in Dunlap, Iowa.

Surviving also are a son, Peter E. (Tina) Thompson, Jr. of Spencerville; a daughter, Pamela (Stefano) Cassara of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Ian Thompson, Heather Johnson and Rachel Leitel (Matthew Goheen); great grandchildren, Audree Johnson, Averie Oferle and Maizie Gaff.

Peter retired from Meridian (Eagle Picher) of Grabill as a chemical engineer.

Family will receive friends starting at 6 pm on Friday, May 6, 2022 with a short service following at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home, Spencerville, IN.
