Neil H. Wisler, 90, died Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Sacred Heart in Avilla, IN.  He was born on March 9, 1935 in St. Joe, IN to the late Cecil G. & Margarette H. (Hamilton) Wisler.  He married Mary L. Klopfenstein on July 26, 1963 in Ft. Wayne, IN and she preceded him in death on August 11, 2007.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Schowe of Huntertown; granddaughters, Cecilia Schowe of Troy, MI, Madeline Schowe of Huntertown, Olivia Schowe of Indianapolis; son-in-law, Michael Starkey of Auburn and a sister, Cynthia (Robert) Jarrett of St. Joe.

He was preceded in death by a son, Basil Wisler; daughter, Julie Starkey; sisters & brothers-in-law, Tondalaya (James) Miller & Darlene (Robert) Miller; nephews, Leonard Jarrett & Anthony Miller.

He was a civil engineer and worked as the Superintendent of the Water Pollution Plant for the City of Ft. Wayne, IN.  He loved old cars, swap meets, antiques and flea markets.  He enjoyed eating a good meal and watching old westerns and car restoration shows.  He greatest joy was his granddaughters and spending time with his family.  He was a very proud grandfather & father.

Calling will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 10 am - 12 noon with services following at 12 noon at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home, Spencerville, IN.  Burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery, Leo, IN.
