Nada Kelsey-Kirk, 85, died Friday at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born in Ft. Wayne on May 5, 1928 to the late Wesley Emery & Ruth Mae (Adams) Pritchett. Surviving are two sons, Larry (Sue) Kelsey of Darian, IL and J. Chris (Alice Stella) Kelsey of Stillwater, OK; two daughters, Carolyn (Rex) McFadden of Ft. Wayne, IN and Laura (Tom) Woods of St. Joe, IN; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren with 1 on the way; 1 sister, Patricia (Ken) Kern and 1 brother, Ronald Pritchett.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Earle Lewis Kelsey; her 2nd husband, Stanley Kirk and a son, Lewis Kelsey.
Nada was a long time lover of books and began her career at age 40 as a teacher for many years in Butler & St. Joe. She also taught her children to be independent and self-sufficient.
Calling will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 4-8 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home in Spencerville, IN. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11 am with calling one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial in Alton Cemetery, St. Joe, IN.
