Merle DeWayne Mullett, 77 died Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.  He was born on September 20, 1943 in Mark Center, OH to the late Elmer E. & Clara A. (Miller) Mullett.  He married Joan Eicher on September 22, 1962 at Cuba Mennonite Church, Harlan, IN.

Surviving are his wife, Joan of Woodburn; children, Rita Erne of Ft. Wayne, Pam (Marlin) Beachy of Kokomo, Brent (Dawn) Mullett of Ft. Wayne, Jana (Steve) Mast of Goshen, Jolene Hochstedler of Ft. Wayne; 25 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth (Sheril) Mullett of Goshen, Mary (Elmer) Stutzman of Goshen and LaVern Mullett of Lima, OH.  He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Erne and a granddaughter, Kiah Grace Mullett.

Merle worked for 40 years as a self-employed drywall finisher and then started up Heritage Windows & Doors in Woodburn, IN.  He was a member of Hicksville Mennonite Church and loved fishing, spending time with his family and just being around people.  He also loved meeting up with family & friends at Harlan Café.

Calling will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 1-4 & 6-8 pm at Hicksville Mennonite Church (237 W. Arthur Street Hicksville, OH).  Services will be on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 2 pm with calling one hour prior at the church.  Burial in Yaggy Cemetery, Grabill, IN.
