Marilyn Shockley, 85, died Wednesday at The Cedars in Leo, IN. She was born in Allen County, Indiana to the late Virgil & Lola (DuVall) Van Zile. She married Roland Shockley on May 29, 1948 in Spencerville, IN and he preceded her in death on October 27, 1990.
Surviving are two sons, Rick (Sandy) Shockley of Richardson, TX and Gary (Lori) Shockley of Mountain View, CA; a daughter, Cheryl (Tom) Howey of Spencerville, IN; 6 grandchildren - Brandy (Jim) Alvey, Jason (Chris) Howey, Carla Shockley, Colleen Shockley, Denea Shockley and Lee Shockley and 5 great grandchildren - Kama, Zander, Erica, Ein & Emma.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Blauser on May 20, 1978 and a son, Greg E. Shockley on December 21, 2009.
Marilyn retired in 1984 as a clerk from the Leo Post Office. She loved to shop, travel, read, crochet and spend time with her family.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 12 noon at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home. Calling will be held also on Tuesday from 10 am - 12 noon at the funeral home. Chaplain Brice Bennett will officiate. Private burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery.
