Maggie Schwartz,86, died peacefully at home in Harlan, IN on Wednesday surrounded by her family. she was born in Harlan, IN to the late Peter & Rosa (Graber) Yoder. She married Amos Schwartz on October 8, 1955 in Berne, IN.
Surviving are her husband, Amos of Harlan; her children, Marlene Seiler of Kalamazoo, MI, Kathleen (Tim) Yoder of Harlan, Gary (Darlene) Schwartz of Woodburn, IN, Marsha (Mark) Delagrange of New Haven, IN and Wayne (Carol) Schwartz of Elida, OH; 11 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 6 brothers, 3 sisters, a son-in-law and a great grandson.
Maggie was a member of the Cuba Mennonite Church and loved to cook, sew and garden. She was a servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her fellowmen. She loved hosting guests in her home and gave many years of service to her church. One of her greatest joys was to spend time with and serve her family. She will be greatly missed, but we are rejoicing in the fact that she is now in Heaven, praising Jesus forever.
Calling will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Cuba Mennonite Church (10835 Cuba Road Harlan, IN). Services will be held on Tuesday, June 14 at 11 am with calling one hour prior at the church. Pastor Ron Miller officiating. Burial in Yaggy Cemetery, Grabill, IN.
