Lucy Freese, 76, formerly of Spencerville, IN, died Monday at Parkview Randalia in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born in New Haven, IN to the late Samuel & Rosa (Miller) Schmucker. She married Richard George Steven Freese on March 7, 1965 in Ft. Wayne and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1993.
Surviving are a son, Vincent (YuYu) Freese of Ft. Wayne; a daughter, Michelle (Ronald) Seiler of Spencerville; grandchildren, Claire Freese & Jared Seiler; step grandchildren, Terry Seiler and Stacey (Chris) Brown; brother, Ben (Rosie) Schmucker of New Haven; sister, Rosena (Eaph) Caldwell of Plain City, OH and sister-in-law, Norma Jean Schmucker of Spencerville. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Ronald Schmucker and brothers, John & David Schmucker.
She worked at Magnavox/Raytheon in Ft. Wayne, IN and was a member of North Leo Mennonite Church in Leo, IN. She loved to read, do word searches and garden.
Calling will be held on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at North Leo Mennonite Church in Leo, IN. Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at 11 am with calling one hour prior at the church with Joe Schwartz officiating. Burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery, Leo, IN.
