Leo D. Busick, 78, died Friday at his home in Woodburn, IN surrounded by family. He was born in Decatur, IN on February 24, 1939 to the late Clarence & Lydia (Wietfieldt) Busick. He married Jane Wass on April 16, 1960 in Monroeville, IN.
Surviving are his wife, Jane Busick of Woodburn; daughters, Laurie (Wally) Szajna of Woodburn, Debbie (Jason) Yoder of Harlan, Tonya Peters & Stan Atha of Hamilton, Ashley (Adam) Crow of St. Joe; 12 grandchildren; sister, Gladys M. Dormire of Ft. Wayne and a brother, Larry Busick of Parker, CO. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brooke Fetters; brother-in-law, Robert Dormire and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Busick.
Leo was a self-employed general contractor and Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Woodburn American Legion Post 377 and attended Promise Ministries in Ft. Wayne.
Calling will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 2-7 pm at Promise Ministries (7323 Schwartz Road Ft. Wayne, IN). Services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10 am with calling one hour prior at the church. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, Ft. Wayne, IN.
