Lavern H. Graber, 72, died Friday, December 3, 2021 at his home in Grabill, IN.  He was born on September 16, 1949 in Grabill, IN to the late Peter G. & Anna Mae (Delagrange) Graber.  He married Martha Graber on November 27, 1969 in Grabill, IN.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Graber of Grabill; children, James (Mary) Graber of Harlan, Sam Graber, Beth Graber of Hicksville, OH, Carolyn (Doug) Moulton of Harlan, Anna (Kenny) Elwood of Woodburn, Ada (Dan) Bontrager of Woodburn, Wilma (Michael) Steury of Hicksville, OH, Melinda (Mike) Jones of Woodburn, Darlene Miller, Nathan Miller of Grabill, IN; 35 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren; brother, Reuben Graber of Grabill, sister, Josephine Graber of Grabill and sister-in-law, Kathryn Graber of Grabill.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Graber; half brother, Elmer Graber, half sisters, Caroline Schwartz, Anna Schmucker, Esther Steury, Ama Graber and a grandson, Brendan Elwood.

Lavern worked as a drywaller with Cordes Drywall in Ft. Wayne, IN.  He was a member of the Ekklesia Church and loved camping, being with his grandkids, bonfires and telling stories and jokes.

Calling will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Ekklesia Church (12616 Spencerville Road Harlan, IN).  Services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10 am with calling one hour prior at the church.  Burial in Yaggy Cemetery, Grabill, IN.
