Kay Weesner, 75, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born in Portland, IN to the late Clyde & Pauline (Mott) Hines. She married Gerry Weesner on July 9, 1994 in the Leo U. M. Church.
Surviving are her husband, Rev. Gerry Weesner of Grabill; children, Jo (Ron) Bennett of Churubusco, Gretchen (Lalo) Weesner Aguilar of Shanghai, China and Karen (Gale) Smith; 5 grandchildren & 1 great granddaughter and a sister, Suzy Satterlee of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by a brother & sister-in-law, Don (Norma) Hines; a sister & brother-in-law, Helen (George) Babou and a brother-in-law, Jerry Satterlee.
Kay worked as a stock clerk for Magnavox for 30 years, loved doing crafts, taking care of her cats, listening to Elvis music, being a diligent member of Curves and loved performing as "Sweet Tater" in the High Hopes Clowns. She was a member of the Leo U. M. Church and assisted her husband with pastoral at Spencerville, Altarstar and Maples U. M. Churches.
Calling will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 3-8 pm at Leo U. M. Church (13527 Leo Road Leo, IN). Services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11 am with calling one hour prior at the church. Chaplain Jon Swanson will officiate. Burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery.
