Kathryn Schmucker, 71, died on Monday, November 17, 2014 at her residence in rural St. Joe, IN. She was born on April 25, 1943 in Grabill, IN to the late Benjamin & Emma (Schwartz) Wittmer. She married James Schmucker in Grabill on November 21, 1963. He survives in St. Joe. Also surviving are her children, Joe (Ida Schmucker of Edom, IN, Naomi (John) Graber of Grabill, IN, Anna (Raymone) Graber of Harlan, IN, Becky (Joe) Graber of Spencerville, IN, Rosa (Mervin) Graber of Grabill, IN, Emma (Timothy) Lengacher of New Haven, IN, William (Fanny) Schmucker of St. Joe, IN, Tobie(Amy)Schmucker of St. Joe, Ben (Sue) Schmucker of St. Joe, Mary Mae (Ed) Hilty of Spencerville, IN, Betty (Wilbur) Lengacher of Grabill, IN; 62 grandchildren & 5 great great grandchildren; brothers & sisters, Martha (Albert) Schmucker, Leah (Christy) Schmucker, Fred (Rose) Wittmer, Mariann (Pete) Zehr, Mandy (Mart) Schmucker, John (Betty) Wittmer, Dave (Mary) Wittmer, Amelia (Sam) Schwartz, Ben (Betty) Wittmer and Edwin (Anna) Wittmer. She was a homemaker, a member of the Old Order Amish and the foundation of their family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19 & Thursday, Nov. 20 at the James Schmucker residence (7877 CR 60 St. Joe, IN). Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 21 at 9 am at the Joe Graber residence (16918 Hurshtown Road Grabill, IN). Home Ministers officiating. Burial in Hurshtown Cemetery, Grabill, IN.
