Joyce E. Geise, 74, died Saturday, August 15, 2026 at her home on Hamilton Lake.  She was born on January 3, 1952 in Auburn, IN to the late Howard & Lilian (Kling) Means Dever.  She married Gregory L. Geise on August 16, 1969 in St. Vincent's Church in Ft. Wayne, IN. 

Surviving are her husband, Greg Geise of Hamilton; sons, Kevin (Gloria) Geise of Auburn, Kyle Geise of Spencerville; granddaughter, Kelsey Geise of Auburn; siblings, Loren Means of Ft. Wayne, Lyle (Joan) Means of Ft. Wayne, Lowell "Bud" Means of Ft. Wayne, Rita Gebo of Leo; sisters-in-law, Nancy Means of Ft. Wayne, Gina (John) Hessler of Payne, OH and Gayla (Terry) Gremaux of New Haven and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister; sister & brother-in-law, Carolyn & Phil Hudson; brothers Lloyd Means and Lynn Means; brother-in-law, Dewey Gebo; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Adams Means and Jovetta "Joie" Means.

Joyce worked in retail at The Gap in the Fremont Outlet Mall for 10 years and also worked alongside her brothers at L & L Specialist in Ft. Wayne.  She loved to read, garden, work in her flower beds and watch her granddaughter especially play sports.

Graveside Service will be held at Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, IN at 11:30 am on Saturday, August 22, 2026 with Pastor Ryan Koch officiating.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 pm at the Hamilton Fish & Game Club (110 E. Railroad Street Hamilton, IN).
