John Thomas Hollabaugh, 80, died Monday at his home in rural St. Joe, IN. He was born in Spencerville, IN to the late Maurice H. & Janice F. (Ridgway) Hollabaugh. He married Cheryll Collins on August 22, 1964 in the St. Mark Lutheran Church in St. Joe, IN.
Surviving are his wife, Cheryll Hollabaugh of St. Joe; son, Joseph (Deena) Hollabaugh of Mountain Iron, Minnesota; daughters, Julie (David) Rotz of Spencerville, IN and Jennie (David) Stauffer of St. Joe; 7 grandchildren, Daniel, Hannah & Joel Stauffer, David Jr., Grace & Jessica Rotz and Max Pawlikowski; brother, James (Mary) Hollabaugh of Akron, OH; sister, Margery Morgan of Omaha, NE and sister-in-law, Nina Hollabaugh of Spencerville.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Jack, Ted & Parks; sisters-in-law, Connie & Donna Hollabaugh and brother-in-law, David Morgan.
He worked & retired after 32 years as a tool & die maker for Dana Corporation in Auburn, IN. He was a veteran of the US Navy, life time member of the Butler American Legion Post 202 and loved being in the outdoors.
Friends & Family will gather on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 3-7 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home in Spencerville, IN. Military honors will be presented at 5 pm. Memorials to the American Cancer Society.
