John Haverstock, 58, died Friday at his home in St. Joe, IN. He was born in Auburn, IN and was raised by his late grandmother, Opal Haverstock.

Surviving are his partner, Valerie Schaefer of St. Joe; children, Jay (Jonnie Barth) Haverstock of Auburn, Candy (Christopher) Wells of Auburn, Zach McCarthy of Minnesota, Brandie Haverstock of Ft. Wayne, Jessie Swick, Jamie (Tyler) Frick and Zach Swick all of Auburn and Cindy (Kyle) Carr of Ft. Wayne; 12 grandchildren and several brothers & sisters.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Hamlin.

He was an ironworker and for the last 9 years drove truck for Cookie Carriers in Butler, IN. He was a member of the Butler Eagles and the Butler American Legion Post 202. He enjoyed trucking and spending time with friends and family.

Calling will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 1-3 pm with services following at 3 pm with Pastor Jim Platner officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, St. Joe. IN.
