John F. Chew, 68, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019 at St. Paul Health Center in Denver, CO.  He was born in Auburn, IN on August 30, 1950 to the late Frank & Guadalupe "Lupe" (Ramirez) Chew.

Surviving are his ex-wife, Elaine Chew of Colorado Springs, CO; children, Dakota Chew of Denver, CO, Caly Simpson of Woodland Park, CO, Jessica Young of Bryan, OH and Lakota Chew of Michigan; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Robert Chew of Ft. Wayne, JoAnn (John) Sechler of St. Joe, Alicia (David) Badger of Ft. Wayne and Joe (Sheila) Chew of Conover, NC.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Voirol and brothers Frank Chew, Jr. & Santana Salinas.

He was a Vietnam War Veteran and had received the Purple Heart Medal for his service.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Butler Cemetery in Butler, IN.  Military honors by Butler American Legion.
