Jeff McCoy, 45, died Thursday at his home in rural Auburn, IN. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to Paul E. McCoy and Penny D. (Byerley) Favory. He married Rebecca E. Schlatter on April 20, 1991 in Garrett, IN. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca of Auburn; two sons, Daniel & Isaac of Auburn; his parents, Paul (Teresa) McCoy of Columbia City, IN and Penny Favory of Auburn, IN; 5 brothers, Barry (Mary) McCoy of Huntertown, IN; Brian McCoy of Omaha, NE; Nick (Shelly) McCoy of Mongo, IN; Allan (Jackie) Gieger of Jacksonville, FL; Matthew (Julie) Gieger of Rockmart, GA; a sister, Angie (Aaron) Price of Auburn, IN; sister-in-law, Rebecca McCoy of Columbia City, IN; In-laws, Roseann (Larry) Kinsey; sister-in-law, Regina (Virgil) Duke; brothers-in-law, Rex Schlatter, Robert Schlatter, Rodney Schlatter, Rick (Nancy) Schlatter and Roger (Lani) Schlatter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Luke McCoy on October 1, 2001 and a brother, Terry McCoy on August 31, 2011. He was a tool & die maker at C & A Tool in Churubusco, IN. He was a member of Lakewood Park Baptist Church in Auburn, IN. He loved to do woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening and swimming in his backyard with family & friends. Calling will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 2-8 pm at the funeral home. Services will be held on Saturday at 2 pm with calling one hour prior at Lakewood Park Baptist Church with Pastor Clare Jewell officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, St. Joe, IN.
