Janet R. Hoover, 86, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.  She was born on January 10, 1936 in Hicksville, OH to the late William F. & Ruth (McComas) Brown.  She married Herbert A. "Bob" Hoover on August 10, 1956 in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1975.

Surviving are a son, Herbert Allen (Candy) Hoover, Jr. of Hamilton, IN; a daughter, Kelly Jean (Rob) Pettit of Edgerton, OH; grandchildren, Krystle Schmidt (Rob Thompson) of Durham, NC, Kim Hoover of Raleigh, NC, Jordan Hoover (Aaron Felger) of Hamiton, IN, Rob Pettit Jr. (Allison Biery) of Edgerton, OH, Jessica (Jake) Jividen of Coldwater, MI, Danon (Spencer) Kaiser of Angola, IN; great grandchildren, Ella Pettit & Theo Kaiser and a very close friend, Sharon Baker of Spencerville.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 3 sisters and a special friend, J. C. Baker.

Janet was a homemaker, had worked in the paint department for Harlan Cabinets for 16 years and was a caregiver for her mother for several years.  She was a member of the Spencerville Community Quilters, loved to do ceramics, make rocking chairs out of pop cans and sew clothes for ceramic ducks.

Calling will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home, Spencerville, IN.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 11 am with calling one hour prior with Herbert Hoover Jr. officiating.  Burial in White City Cemetery, Spencerville, IN.
