Harry Don Carnahan, 88, died on March 26, 2026 at his home in Leo, IN. He was born on January 1, 1938 in Auburn, IN to the late Ray & Ida (Timberlin) Carnahan.
From his first marriage, he had two children - Terri Carnahan of Alexandria, VA and David (Lauri) Carnahan of Spencerville. He married his wife, Mary Ann Ferber, on October 25, 1985 and got his bonus children: Michelle (Steve) Stephens of Auburn, Melony Biddle of Ft. Wayne and Matt (Angie) Biddle of Spencerville. He is survived by 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren plus 4 on the way; a sister, Opal Georgi and a sister-in-law, Sherry Carnahan.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Clifford (Frances) Carnahan, Ralph (Jackie) Carnahan, Raymond (Nanci) Carnahan, Ray Carnahan Jr.; brother-in-law, Robert Georgi and a granddaughter, RaeAnn Biddle.
Harry was in the Army in 1959, then worked for Coca-Cola for 10 years and at Grabill Cabinet Company for 38 years before retiring. He loved his family, attending many events and activities of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, he watched many Leo High School basketball games and IU and Purdue basketball as well. He didn't know a stranger, talking with anyone around him. One of his life's purposes was to serve anyone who was in need. In his retirement years, he dedicated himself to a recycling aluminum can ministry in which he donated all the proceeds to the Youth of County Line Church of God.
Family & Friends may gather on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 4-7 pm at County Line Church of God (7716 N. County Line Road E. Auburn, IN). A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11 am with calling one hour prior. Pastors Dane Kruse & Steve Schlatter will officiate.
Memorials may be given in his memory to the County Line Student Ministries.
