Gaylord E. Schowe, 85, of Auburn, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13th, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl; his mother, Bernice; his sister, Eleanor and his sons, Scott and Craig.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria; son, Todd (Cara); daughter, Michelle (Michael); his cherished granddaughters and great grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy.

Gaylord proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.  He carried that same quiet strength and dedication into every part of his life.  A man who loved the outdoors, he found great happiness in coon hunting and fishing or cheering at the television for his favorite sports teams.  But, more than anything, he treasured time spent with those he loved.  He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.

A private family graveside service will be held.
