Garl E. Miles, 86, of Ellenton, FL and formerly of Spencerville, IN died Wednesday at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL.  He was born on June 6, 1932 in Huntington, IN to the late Harman Wilford & Nova Edith (Thompson) Miles.  He married Connie Rose (Stewart) Hollabaugh on December 24, 1978 in the Leo United Methodist Church and she preceded him in death on January 27, 2018.

Surviving are sons, Terrance W. (Shareen) Miles of Charleston, SC and Timothy G. (Laura) Miles of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Tamarah L. Cope of Louisville, KY; step sons, Tim (Beth) Hollabaugh of Bryan, OH and Tom (Debbie) Hollabaugh of Butler, IN; step daughter, Beth (Jeff) Freidenberger of Auburn, IN; grandchildren, Gebben, Ashley, Nick, Michelle, Jamie, Mitch & Abbi; step grandchildren, Jason, Amy, Curtis, Cedric, Tyler & Jacob; great grandchildren, Miles & Jameson; step great grandchildren, Lucas, Lance, Jack, Ella & Tommy; step brothers, Gerald Markley of Ft. Wayne, IN, Danny Markley of Tipp City, IN and Clyde Markley of Ft. Wayne, IN; step sisters, Norma Divelbiss of Ft. Wayne, IN and Janet Finton of Huntington, IN; sister-in-law, Dorothy Markle of Spencerville, IN.  He was also preceded in death by his step mother, Nellie Miles.

Garl worked most of his life doing accounting, real estate and insurance.  He was a member of the Leo Masonic Lodge, Leo Eastern Star, Leo American Legion, Scottish Rite, Shriner's and an Army veteran.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11 am with calling two hours prior at Solid Rock Methodist Church (485 Bennett Drive Warren, IN).  Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren, IN with military honors.
