Obituary

Franklin D. "Frank" Dwyer, 88, died Friday, June 14, 2024 at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He was born on December 10, 1935 in Spencerville, Indiana to the late Arlie Baruch & Marjie Mae (Spitler) Resor Dwyer.  Frank married Judith Anne Vendrely on January 25, 1958 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Dwyer of Leo, Indiana; sons & daughters-in-law, Daniel & Julanne Dwyer of Danville, Indiana and Kenneth & Katie Dwyer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Forrest "Porky" Resor; sisters-in-law, Helen E. Resor & Opal Ann Resor and a nephew, Brent Resor.

Frank was a 1953 graduate of Spencerville High School.   He worked as a brick mason for Vendrely Masonry and then in construction after that. He also drove courtesy car for Berger Auto Center for 12 years.  He was a member of Hopewell United Brethren Church and loved fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family.  Frank was an avid gardener and bird watcher.

Per his request, there will be no services or calling.

Memorials may be given to:  Metea Park (Allen County)   8401 Union Chapel Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana  46845.  Checks should be made out to Friends of Metea.
