Elizabeth S. "Betty" Schwartz, 89, died Thursday, December 30, 2021 at her home in rural New Haven, IN.  She was born October 16, 1932 in Berne, IN to the late Joseph J. & Elizabeth (Graber) Schwartz.  She married Elmer L. Schwartz on January 24, 1954 in Northern Indiana and he preceded her in death on August 5, 1980.

Surviving are her children, Joe Allen (Miriam) Schwartz of Auburn, Leora Hochstetler of Hicksville, OH, Edwin (Becky) Schwartz of New Haven and Beth (Sheldon) Walburn of Auburn; 17 grandchildren & 28 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, William Hochstetler and 12 siblings, Emily Eicher, Henry Schwartz, Noah Schwartz, Jacob Schwartz, Veronica Eicher, Rosina Miller, Joseph Schwartz, Jr., Daniel Schwartz, Samuel Schwartz, Amos Schwartz, Reuben Schwartz and Emmanuel Schwartz.

She was a very good homemaker and had also worked at Dutch Maid Cabinet for about 10 years.  She was a member of Abundant Grace Fellowship in Harlan and loved to cross stitch and quilt.

Calling will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 6-8 pm and Monday, January 3, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Ekklesia Church of Harlan (12616 Spencerville Road).  Services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 10 am at the church.  Burial in Schlatter Cemetery.
