Edna Moeller, 98, of Hicksville, OH, died peacefully on Wednesday at Hickory Creek at Hicksville, OH, a charitable non-profit nursing home with Grace Hospice.   She was born on February 26, 1920 in Campbell County, South Dakota, near Herreid, the second of four children to the late Fred L. & Teina (Buss) Winterberg.  She married Harry Moeller on August 21, 1948 in the Rockford Methodist Church in Rockford, IL and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2007 after 59 years of marriage.

Survivors include daughters, Linda (John) Tuttle of Batesville, IN and Martha Kreighbaum of Spring Hill, TN; 11 grandchildren, Amy Shideler (Mindy Calderone), Todd (Traci) Tuttle, Kevin (Julie) Tuttle, Jerry (Felice) Tuttle, Christina (Kevin) Ciepiel, Julie Vordran (Scot Allyn), Kari (Marty) Swafford, Teina (Tanner) Babb, Matthew Kreighbaum, Andrew (Lyndsey) Stauffer and Jonathan Stauffer; 19 great grandchildren, Nicole Murphy (Kevin Krause), Curtis Tuttle, Sydney Lewis, Jason Lewis (Erica Shackleford), Brendan (Jherilyn) Tuttle, Britny (Mark) Zweibel, Tristen, Tiernen, & Tallen Tuttle, Karston & Kadin Ciepiel, Andrew, Alyssa & Kaitlyn Cantrell, Garrett, Zachary & Mia Swafford, Jacob Kreighbaum, and Brooks Babb; 3 great great grandchildren, Brekken Tuttle, Savannah Mannheim & Lincoln Lewis; son-in-law, Eugene (Theresa) Stauffer of Spencerville, IN and her younger brother, Lester Winterberg of Hudson, WI.

She was preceded in death by daughters, Esther L. Vorndran & Lois F. Stauffer; grandson, Nathan C. Tuttle; sons-in-law, Carl E. Kreighbaum & George Vorndran III; and brothers, Martin & Melvin Winterberg.

She grew up on a farm and attended a one room school in rural South Dakota.  In her own words, she "had a strong faith in God and became a born-again Christian in a 6-week revival in a Wesleyan Methodist Church in Pollack, SD in April 1936.  After 7 years of drought and dust storms, the family moved in 1938 by rail car to Davis Junction, Illinois.  She worked as a nurses' aid in a Rockford hospital, and in a factory during WWII.
She attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College in Miltonvale, Kansas where she completed her GED, majored in theology, served as college yearbook editor, and met Harry Moeller who was studying to be a pastor.  She & Harry served in the ministry for 29 years in Concordia, Kansas, Hoyne Avenue Wesleyan Methodist Church in Chicago, IL; pioneered Eastman Wesleyan Church in Wisconsin in 1959; and pastored in Indiana at Mishawaka & Bryan Wesleyan Church.  Edna fostered five disabled children for eight years, taught Sunday School, and served as president of the Women's Missionary Society.  After retiring, they moved to Ft. Wayne where she worked as a pre-school teacher, cared for her parents for 8 years and worked until age 83 as a private caregiver for elderly widows in their homes.  She had the gift of hospitality, enjoyed a good laugh, a good cup of tea, and traveling with family; a trip to Israel was one of her favorites. She was an accomplished seamstress, had a tradition of sending Christmas cards, baking a birthday cake for Jesus, and enjoyed their cottage at Fairmount Wesleyan Campground.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 at 11 am with calling one hour prior at Grace Pointe Nazarene Church (8611 Mayhew Road Ft.
