Donald Reider, 84, died Thursday at his home in Leo, IN. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late David & Viola (Burns) Reider. He married Vera Opliger on September 11, 1954 in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Surviving are his wife, Vera of Leo; daughters, Diane (Dan) Cooper of Angola, Patrice Reider of Waynedale, Gay (Bill) Cheever of LaBelle, FL, Julie (Jerry) Schiffli of Waynedale; 9 grandchildren & 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Arlene (Bart) Nelson of Greely, CO and Melba Personett of Columbia City.

He worked in production control at Ft. Wayne Metals, Essex Wire, Ajax and was part owner of Adco Diamond Dies in Huntertown, IN. He was a veteran of the Navy Reserve and a member of Leo United Methodist Church. He loved to work with mechanical things and cars and enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and after retiring traveling in their RV.

Calling will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 9-11 am at Leo United Methodist Church (13527 Leo Road, Leo, IN). Services will follow at 11 am with Pastor David Heim officiating. Burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery.
