Christopher M. Janes, 38, died Tuesday in Ashley, IN. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to Corky & Shirley (Wiegmann) Janes.

Surviving are his parents, Corky & Shirley Janes of St. Joe; children, Eliza Janes & Corbyn Janes of Ft. Wayne, Liam and Landon of Ft. Wayne; sister, Tiffany (Matt) Kenner of Hicksville, OH; niece & nephew, Alexandria & Hunter Kenner; grandmothers, Madonna Wiegmann of Ft. Wayne and Nancy Janes of New Haven; several aunts, uncles & cousins. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Everett Janes & Helmut Wiegmann.

He worked for Omnisource in Ft. Wayne, IN for 10 years. He loved to hunt, fish, watch NASCAR and spend time with his family.

Calling will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home in Spencerville, IN. Services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Booher officiating. Burial in Odd Fellow's Cemetery in New Haven, IN. Memorials to the family.
