Cheryll A. Hollabaugh, 81, died Monday, April 21, 2025 at Astral in Auburn, IN. She was born in Hicksville, OH on February 9, 1944 to the late Dale D. & Ruth E. (Keesler) Collins. She married John "Tom" Hollabaugh on August 22, 1964 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in St. Joe, IN.
Surviving are her children, Joseph (Deena) Hollabaugh of Lucky, OH, Julie (David) Rotz of Spencerville & Jennie (David) Stauffer of St. Joe; grandchildren, Daniel, Hanna & Joel Stauffer, David (Thai), Grace & Jessica Rotz and Max Pawlikowski; 1 great grandson; sister, Lucinda (Rex) Snyder of St. Joe; brother-in-law, James (Mary) Hollabaugh of Akron, OH; sisters-in-law, Margery Morgan of Omaha, NE and Nina Hollabaugh of Spencerville.
She was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Ted Hollabaugh, Jack Hollabaugh, David Morgan and J. Parks Hollabaugh; sisters-in-law, Connie Miles and Donna Hollabaugh.
She was a 1962 graduate from Riverdale High School in St. Joe, IN and continued her education at Ft. Wayne Commercial College. Cheryll worked many jobs including Sechler's Pickle Factory as summer help, filling vending machines at Vulcraft, postal clerk for Spencerville & St. Joe Post Offices, bank clerk for Knisley National Bank in St. Joe and Vulcraft Nucor Federal credit Union at Vulcraft Division in St. Joe. She was a life long Christian, a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in St. Joe until marriage when she switched her membership to St. Peter Lutheran in Spencerville, IN. She also attended Dayspring Church in Auburn for many years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, feeding the birds and crafting. She loved to bake cookies and birthday cakes all of which she shared with her family and friends who she loved dearly.
Friends & Family may gather on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10 am at St. Mark Lutheran Church (302 Washington St. St. Joe, IN). A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:30 am at the church with Gary Woebbeking officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at Riverside Cemetery, St. Joe, IN.
