Cathi Anne Stolte Petrie, 58, passed away on Saturday surrounded by her family & friends at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.  She was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to Larry & Jane (Garringer) Stolte.  She married John Petrie on October 20, 2007 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Spencerville, IN.

Surviving are her husband, John Petrie of Leo; her mother, Jane Stolte of Spencerville; her brother, Joe Stolte of Spencerville and her aunt, Barbara Garringer of Muncie.  She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Stolte and her aunt, Linda Garringer.

As a child, she attended Harlan Elementary and graduated from Leo High School.  She attended IPFW Purdue and received a degree in Nursing.  Her career in nursing started in Ft. Wayne with time spent in Florida & Colorado before returning to Indiana.  She worked for Sunshine Home Health Care in Ft. Wayne where she was a Nursing Educator.  She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Spencerville and the Daughters of the American Revolution Mississinewa Chapter in Portland, IN.  She was an outgoing and caring person to everyone she met.

Calling will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home in Spencerville, IN.  Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11 am with calling one hour prior at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Spencerville, IN with Pastor Vicky Shoup officiating.
